Services - Energy Project Development

For Energy Project Investment in Development – Develop or review and improve existing development project plan to take project from inception to financial closing and start of construction which may include:

• Project investment thesis involving market analysis to determine optimum site location based on resources, fuel supply and output transmission capability and ability to gain favorable local support for project development
• Project development plan including project siting and environmental justice requirements, permitting requirements, budget and project schedule including milestone dates up to commercial operation
• Outside consultant selection and management including legal counsel, environmental consultant, engineering consultants, noise consultant, fuel, transmission and water consultants
• Consultation with state and federal siting and permitting agencies with plan information and schedule activities for buyoff and input
• Manage site selection methodology and real estate option agreement with landowner(s)
• Manage project activities with weekly progress meetings with each managed consultant for schedule completion and budget review with updates on:
  • Siting application including all studies required for consideration (noise, visual impacts, archaeological, cultural and biological impact assessments, EMF, traffic and all other siting studies as may be required)
  • Permitting application activities including all permits required for construction and operation (protocols, air modeling and multiple source impacts, wastewater discharge, well water, sewer water and any other required permit)
  • Federal Energy Regulatory Approvals (EWG and Market Power)
  • EPC contractor bid solicitations and bid evaluations
• Submit siting application and receive Siting Board Approval
• Submit all permit applications and obtain all permits required for construction and operation
• Select and sign EPC contractor
• Solicit financing interest and develop 3rd Party Market and Technical Studies
• Award Financing Mandate and manage financing due diligence effort.
• Financial Closing and Start of Construction Mobilization
